Icarus
Icarus explores the themes of restriction and freedom. A specific local group of teenage performers, together with a trio of professional artists from the Czech Republic, Slovakia, and France, create a new performance according to a predetermined staging protocol as output of an intensive dance workshop. In the resulting performance, the group reveals to the audience their feelings from today and from the coming adulthood.
The first performances were created parallelly in Prague and Nitra and were the result of more than two years of participatory process. They took place in co-production of the Be SpectACTive! network in close cooperation with Tanec Praha and Divadelní Nitra festivals.
